As a small business, we remain focused on our core values of being genuine and caring and to make a positive difference to people’s lives and to the environment. This is why we support Business for Good (Buy 1 Give 1) projects nationally and internationally and our local wildlife sanctuary Bonorong.
We began supporting 4 projects in B1G1 in 2022, with the sale of specific teas. How it works is you buy your favourite tea, and Art of Tea donates to that project- Buy One Give One. All 100% of the donations benefit the cause, as we pay a separate annual administration fee to prevent those worthy donations being diminished by the running of the B1G1 organisation.
The specific giving projects we currently support include:
- When our customers buy any size Voice Brew, we give US$1 to provide emergency relief support in Ukraine
- When our customers buy any size Breastfeeding Tea we provide one day of training to new mums in India
- When our customers buy any size Pregnancy Tea we provide one training session for new parents in India on health and nutrition
- When our customers buy any size Tassie Tiger Tea we provide one meal to an orphaned koala joey

Samantha Brown was a senior environmental scientist for nearly a decade and has a particular love of the Tasmanian fauna. This is why we are big supporters of Australian wildlife hence the B1G1 project to help koalas, and also our local wildlife conservation sanctuary. Bonorong has a specialised wildlife hospital for injured native animals which we have supported from its inception.
When our customers buy any tea from our Wildlife Range we donate 50c per tea to Bonorong. Read more about Bonorong here.
Our goal is to continually add B1G1 projects over time, linking specific teas from our artisan range to sustainable development projects otherwise known as Giving Stories or Projects.
